Bad scarring after platysma plication. What can I do to help this? (Photo)

Botched scar following platysma plication. Neither loose skin or subcutaneous fat was addressed during op as surgeon did not believe this to be necessary at the time. Scar was done too tight at one end which created banding. What can I do to help this? I’m doing a six week course of 3 MHz ultrasound but scar is mature. Experiencing severe depression because of this. People often ask me what happened to get this scar and that it looks really bad.
