Hi i am a 54 yr old male considering an alarplasty , i want my nose norrower and less flare , im happy with the tip and overrall shape other than the nostils , am i a suitable candidate , thank you.

The asymmetry is normal and trying to fix it can lead a bigger asymmetry. You have to weigh the risk/reward ratio. You have a beautiful nose and the risk of making it worst is there. I would leave it alone. Regards Dr. J

Hi DollyMay If you like the appearance of your nostrils when you reshape them with your fingers, then something fairly similar can be achieved with surgery called alarplasty or alar base reduction.
