Hi i am a 54 yr old male considering an alarplasty , i want my nose norrower and less flare , im happy with the tip and overrall shape other than the nostils , am i a suitable candidate , thank you.

Based on your photos, you do appear to be a potential candidate for an alarplasty. While alar base modification in conjunction with rhinoplasty will give you greater potential for reshaping the nostrils, in your case there is enough differential between the width of the nostrils and the width of the tip to simply reduce the width and flare of your nostrils while still maintaining appropriate size to the nostril apertures and a good proportion with the nasal tip width. It's important to choose a surgeon with expertise in maintaining a natural appearance to the nostrils and ala during the delicate and precise surgery.
