Are fillers safe in areas with previous Lower Blepharoplasty?

An aesthetic procedure, either surgery or fillers in the area where a blepharoplasty was performed is safe as long as it is performed in an appropriate place and with a specialist who has the knowledge to perform the procedure. Fillers can be applied after blepharoplasty because blepharoplasty improves the bags that form in the lower part of the eye, but often the relationship between the rim of the eye and cheek by the descent of the cheek muscles needs to be filled with fillers to improve it. Anytime we apply filler to an area that has had surgery there it can be slightly more challenging because of scarring. It would be safe when performed by experienced provider, who specifically is skilled in under eye (aka infraorbital hollow) enhancement, which may not include filler (i.e. laser or PRP treatment).

Yes you can still have fillers under the eye if you've previously had a lower blepharoplasty. Just be sure to visit with an expert injector! I encourage you to discuss your concerns so that you are comfortable and confident in your treatment.

Safety is pivotal! With or without previous surgery safety is essential. This procedure is largely done with a cannula. Cannulas are blunt devices that tend to move around vessels, thus radically improving safety. It will be up the discretion, techniques and experience of your injector. But this procedure is possible post blepharoplasty. Assuming you are a good candidate for tear trough.
