18 months after deep plane facelift - Uncomfortable strangling / pinching feeling behind ears and down the neck. What can I do?

Im 67 years old….. 5’2inches… my facelift looks great. Very natural…It’s hard to enjoy since Ive experienced such pain and uncomfortable strangling in my neck mostly. Ive been back to my surgeon many times and he says it will go away. Im slowly loosing patience as Im not myself on a daily basis. Ive tried massages, Gabapentin, advil, and Tylenol….. not much works. Gabapentin slightly takes the edge off…… Im really at the end of my rope…. Please help

This seems to have lasted longer than usual.  You may consider with your surgeon going back in and releasing any deep sutures that were used to tighten the SMAS.  These may be pinching a nerve or just too tight.

If your scars are tender they may benefit from steroid injections at the tender spots. Would need to be done three times and might help
