Is there any treatment that can fix this deep mental crease? (Photo)

Question

I have a very deep mental crease line under my chin which leads to have a folded chin. I don’t like it. Is there any treatment which can fix it. I want a straight chin. If you can let me the treatments with it’s price that would be great. Thanks!

One could try correction with a filler. If that provides promising result a correction with fat graft, as a permanent solution,  may be considered. Good luck.

If too much filler is placed, it may become visible and lumpy. We have had some success in permanently improving upon the appearance of deep mental creases with microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections for permanent results. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Patients that have a deep mental crease tend to have a short lower face and chin. The distance between the lowest point on the chin and the tip of the lower incisor tooth should measure 40-42 mm for women and 42-44 mm for men. I suspect that you have a short chin that can be corrected with a lengthening genioplasty. The surgery is performed in the office and takes about 45 minutes. The surgery does not require braces or change your bite. It will increase your lower facial height and diminish your mentolabial fold.

The chin region of the mandible is called the mentalis.
There are two options to treat this.
One is a chin reduction, which reduces the projection of the mentalis region.
The other option is augmenting decrease with fillers.
The primary underlying problem is the projection of the mandible, but injecting fillers is much easier than a chin reduction, which is a fairly complicated procedure.
Chin reduction surgery is often done by oral surgeons, but plastic surgeons may have experience doing this surgery as well.
You may get different opinions on this because it’s not easy or straightforward to treat.
