3 years ago I had Restylane injected for lips. Unfortunately I developed lumps in the underside mucosal area. Suggestion?(photo)

These lumps have only subsided minimally. In the past adding filler on either side has helped the cracks that form on either side of old lumps. But sometimes makes it worse as new filler seems drawn to the lump. Before trying to keep correcting this anymore is it too long ago for hyaluronidase to disolve these old lumps? When my mouth is open the lips look uneven from the underside. The crack like area inside becomes sore.

If you are unhappy with fillers you can have them reversed . sometimes mucoceles can develop and need to be removed surgically.  I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with experience.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The lumps may have to be surgically cut out, under local anesthesia.  I have performed many such procedures for people with silicone lip injection, and others alike.

Thank you for sharing your photos.  I am sorry to hear of your experience.  From the photos, it appears you may have filler that was superficially placed three years ago.  Contrary to popular belief, hyaluronic acid fillers (#Restylane, #Juvederm, #Vobella, #Volift, #Voluma) last years in certain areas.  I recently corrected an area that had been incorrectly injected 9 years ago with Juvederm.  Even three years later, #hyaluronidase (#Wydase, #Hylenex, #Vitrase) can be used to dissolve the filler in your mucosal lip.
