Concerning dent and flattening in left breast (Photo)

Question

I’m 4.5 months post op. My left breast has a dent in the crease, it flattens when I lift up my arm and I feel chest muscle contracting when I do anything with my left arm. Dent started at 8 weeks and has gotten bigger. I have contacted my surgeon but would like a second opinion as he said he’d never seen this dent on his patient before.

It appears that your scar is adherent to the capsule around breast implant. This can be corrected kwith scar release and placement of fat grafts in the area to prevent further scarring. Consultation with your surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

the dent is from the muscle fiber catching the implant, especially when you flex. this could be released in surgery. Try massaging your breasts for now and see if external ultrasound treatments can give some improvement.

It's difficult to tell for sure what is occurring in the photos.  It may be scar tethering.  If your surgeon is unsure you may want to visit with another board certified plastic surgeon for an in person evaluation.
