Can Aveli work on scar tissue that's adhered to the abdominal wall because of liposuction/Renuvion?

I have lines/bands of scar tissue tethering my skin down on my stomach, along with areas that when pulled have little dimples on my stomach from liposuction and renuvion... can aveli work for subcision in these areas to release the scar tissue? And should something like renuva be injected in those areas to stop the scar tissue from re adhering?

Aveli may be able to help with subcision on a small isolated dimple of skin. However, I dont think it would work well on a large tethered scar on the abdomen. Aveli works best for isolated dimples of cellulite on the buttock and thighs.

Yes, Aveli can be used for subscision in other areas of the body and can be used to release scar adhesions.  However scar tissue can always present itself again.  Injecting Renuva or another filler can theoretically help re-adhesion but there is no absolute evidence it will be effective.  Since these treatments would be considered “off-label” usage, it’s best to consult an experienced surgeon for this procedure. Hope this helps! Dr. T

Any fat removal or skin tightening procedure can cause scar tissue formation that generally goes away on its own, but can’t potentially be permanent. Aveli is an excellent way to release that scar tissue. Sometimes when it is severe, a small amount of fat can be used to keep the skin from being tethered to the muscles. The important thing is to wait enough time to ensure that it would not go away on its own. I would generally recommend one year after the initial procedure.
