Hello, and thank you for your question. It depends on their overall health, not just the fact that they smoke. If the person is in good health and smokes, there shouldn't be any issues.  Ideally, people who smoke should stop smoking at least two weeks before their procedure. I hope this helps.

Yoı  may see  some smokers achieve good results from a hair transplant, but  you dont know  how  would  be  the case  ıf  they  dont  smoke  !  Smoking  cause  decreased blood suppl y to  recipient  area because  of vaso constriction . I strongly recommend to my  patients not to smoke 10 days before and after surgery. If they smoke, I advice them  to use pentoxfylline (ıf available to get it from pharmacy) 400 mg tablet once a day starting to take 10 days before operation and continue 10 days after surgery.
