Smoking cause decreased blood suppl y to recipient area because of vaso constriction . I strongly recommend to my patients not to smoke 10 days before and after surgery. If they smoke, I advice them to use pentoxfylline (ıf available to get it from pharmacy) 400 mg tablet once a day starting to take 10 days before operation and continue 10 days after surgery.
