Does buccal fat pad gives support for the face or not?

Buccal fat removal does not causes premature sagging or premature aging of the face IF and ONLY IF the patient has good cheekbones. Buccal fat does not give support to the face. The support to the face is given by the cheek bones. It is the bone structure that holds the structures of the face (soft tissue). When buccal fat is removed in patient with good bone support ( good cheek bones) the face looks chiseled and youthful. However, when the face has poor cheek bones and they are not enhanced before or at the time of buccal fat removal, the face will sag (look older) because there is no bonny support.
