Thank you for your question. After Brazilian butt lift there is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery. The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens. It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient.
Bruising after lipo and BBL are common. Much of this depends upon the amount of liposuction performed and the amount of fat transferred. Two days post op, patients typically notice the most bruising. Bruises may take 1 to 2 weeks before fading away following the surgery.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
This looks perfectly normal for your phase after healing. A little bruising is actually expected. You look great now just stay on track with what your surgeon recommends. Best Wishes!!
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us. Four days after BBL, it's not time enough to express a valid opinion of results. You probably experience bruising for the next 2 weeks, Arnica and Trombocid creams works for that, but I recommend you to have a consultation with your plastic surgeon.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Hello and thank you for your question. Swelling and bruising is most significant in the first week. Bruising will slowly resolve over the next 2-3 weeks. Your final results will be present around 6 months. If you continue to have concerns, follow up with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Hello m.arie24,I’m sorry for the adverse symptoms you are experiencing. Four days is too short to assess your Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) final outcome. The swelling and bruising during the first 3-7 days is significant, and most patients will have difficulties moving around. However, your surgeon will give you pain medication to handle any pain that might be involved and help you feel much more comfortable. You will see significant improvement in the way your body feels and looks in the following 3 weeks. Be patient during these period and you will then begin to see the final results of your BBL procedure. Moreover, I typically recommend my patients start taking Arnica pills two days before surgery and continue taking them up to 2 weeks after BBL, to help reducing bruises. Since every case is different, consult with your plastic surgeon to discuss your specific needs and concerns. He/she has intimate knowledge about the procedure performed and detailed familiarity about your potential complications. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.
Hi. Your bruisings are not that bad, and is a normal consequence of the procedure. Each person takes a different amount of time for its body to reabsorb the blood or hemoglobin. So be patient, and do not take sun in those areas because you may get them stain forever.International Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS)Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS)25 year experience
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, bruising is very normal. If you have any concerns, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.Good luck :)
This varies from patient to patient. Sometimes a few days other times weeks. Arnica can help if you want to try to speed things up.
Hello, thank you for your question and photos. As with any other bruise, these will lighten over time until they are gone. Be careful with compression in your pubic region if your compression garment is too tight, take scissors and widen the opening. Your ultimate results are visible at the 90 day mark. Throughout this time be sure to eat well, take walks, stick to your compression regiment, and keep off your bottom. Good luck!
