Question

Very unhappy with my results thus far. The reason why I decided to get a bbl was to fill in my hip dips and get more round and bigger hips. Also, I explained to the surgeon how I wished for a fuller, more round and plump buttocks. He stated he was able to inject 800cc of fat into each cheek. But since the surgery volume has gone down drastically. How long do I have to wait to get a 2nd round bbl?

Dear Newmommy301,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a BBL surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Usually four months after BBL the initial stages of wound healing are completed, and the swelling has disappeared. Therefore, from this period (4 months po.) can think about a second round.

Thank you for your question. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other. These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks.You are likely seeing changes as a result of decreasing swelling.  After surgery there is a predictable swelling process that mostly resolves over two months, when the final result really settles in. Around 70% of fat that is grafted is typically expected to survive long term.

3 weeks is very early after a BBL. Give everything time to settle in. You should wait at least 3 months before considering a 2nd BBL. It is best to wait 6 months to one year to let your body fully heal.
