Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. Each surgeon does have his/her own post op instructions. At about 5 weeks you should be able to go back to your regular day to day living, however, I do highly recommend that you follow up with your surgeon and see what he/she recommends you for your post-op instructions. I hope that helps! Best of Luck!Matthew J. Nykiel, MD#CoreAestheticButt Augmentation SpecialistLiposuction SpecialistBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dear Vancri, every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Hello Vancri,Congratulations on your recent Brazilian Butt Lift procedure! Getting plenty of rest will help you remain comfortable and shorten your recovery after buttocks augmentation with fat transfer to the hips and buttocks (BBL). I suggest my patients stomach sleeping for least the first 8 weeks following BBL surgery, having different pillows at hand and changing their neck’s position from time to time, to feel more comfortable in bed. Side sleeping (in the rescue position on your side) can also be an option after BBL surgery, but only if you feel certain you won’t end up on your back. Most of your weight will be on the front of one of your hips. Your legs will be sprawled out, and you can place a pillow in between them to make it more comfortable. Hope this is helpful! Dr. De La Cruz.
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us. I always recommend to my patients to sleep on the sides or back after 2 months post Op. But I would recommend you to contact your board certificated surgeon for any concern.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
This is a questions for your PS. We all do things a little differently since there is NO correct answer to this question. I ask my patients to stay off of the areas of fat transfer for 10 days. Other docs say zero days and even others say months.
It is best for you to see your PS since you are having all these symptoms. I will tell you that it can be common for patients to feel as though they may faint when the garment comes off for the first time after surgery. Stiffness and swelling is completely normal is not secondary to your...
Thank you very much for sharing your concerns with us.Just 3 weeks after BBL, it's not time enough to express a valid opinion about finals results. Usually four months after BBL the initial stages of wound healing are completed, and the swelling has disappeared. Therefore, from this period (4 m...
