Im a year post enbloc explant with lift. Is there anything that can make my scars look better especially the white one around the nipple. Also what about a vampire breast treatment, could that help the breast skin look better?
Answer: Scar Congratulations on completing your enbloc explant with lift procedure! Regarding scar management, there are several options you could consider to improve the appearance of your scars. One of the most effective treatments is silicone sheeting or silicone gel. Silicone products have been shown to reduce the appearance of scars by flattening, softening, and fading them over time. You could also try massaging your scars with a scar cream or oil, which can help to break down scar tissue and improve the overall appearance of your scars. In terms of the white scar around the nipple, this may be a hypertrophic or keloid scar, which can be more difficult to treat. You may want to consult with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon to explore other options, such as corticosteroid injections or laser therapy, which can be effective for hypertrophic and keloid scars. As for the vampire breast treatment, also known as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, this involves using your body's own blood to extract growth factors and injecting it back into the breast tissue. While there is some evidence to suggest that PRP therapy can improve the appearance of the skin by increasing collagen production, it is not a proven treatment for breast scars. It's important to consult with your plastic surgeon or dermatologist to determine if PRP therapy is a safe and effective option for you. Best of luck !

Answer: Recommend plasma pixilation to improve appearance Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars.
