I have a dark area on each side of my nose near the eye, possibly veins? I would like to understand what it is and how to improve the situation. Some factors: 1) At 10 yo I was in a car wreck and my nose broke the windshield ( nose itself did not seem to break). 2) Lots of allergies, eczema, so eyelids are often a mess. 3) As you can see, there is a rather deep dent in each of the dark areas, which for sure makes it worse, or is that the whole problem?

Long term results should be good for at least 10 years if properly performed. If the procedure was not performed well, that is when people will not be pleased. You do not want to over resect fat or skin. I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon who performs this procedure...
Hi. It looks like you have some mild lid retraction, rather than a true ectropion, which would be more severe. It should resolve over a couple of months, if you are diligent about lower lid massages and taping. Have your PS show you how to do this properly.
You may want to talk to a doctor to see if fillers may work for you. Maybe talk to them about Belotero, or what other fillers they recommend. this is something that you do not need surgery for unless it is necessary
