Is Renuva the miracle I'm looking for after botched lipo to outer thighs and stomach? Is it safe and well researched?

2 years ago I was botched on my outer thighs so terribly that I cant lay on my sides or work out without severe pain. I've had 3 fat grafting surgeries to fill in the spots and I'm out of fat. I have lumpy spots were fat was harvested. I feel mutilated. I just want to look and feel normal. I'm young. Spent my life savings on trying to fix this. Today I learned of Renuva filler. Feel like I was struck with a miracle. How come my surgeon never told me about this? It is safe? Is it the real deal? Cost?

This can be improved with treatments like Renuva fat matrix injections along with sculptra, fillers,  and Thermi.  However, post liposuction irregularities need fat grafting or a secondary/revision liposuction procedure using VASER HI DEF.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Dear gonetofar,I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction.  This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately.
The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. The revision can often be done under local as well.While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result.I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result.Daniel Barrett, MD

Sorry you’re having these problems, but it sounds like you need to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to explore all possible options for you. Renuva may be an option, but it appears from your photos that release of scar tissue with micro liposuction technique and fat transfer are also possibilities. Best of luck.

Renuva is an off-the-shelf injection that contains growth factors that will stimulate fat growth. It is FDA-regulated and has been proven to be safe. It can be injected into any area of the body that has fat. It is a great alternative to small areas of volume loss that fat is needed.

Sometimes problems don't have to be complicated to correct.  If too much fat removal was an issue, then putting some back seems like a reasonable solution.  You need a very experienced fat grafting surgeon to help you.  Research this carefully.  There is a solution for you.  Good luck.
