5 days ago I had 2 vials of Renuva Adipose Matrix injected into each outer thigh, still swollen and painful, is this normal?

5 days ago I had 2 vials of Renuva Adipose Matrix infected into each outer thigh. I still have terribly swollen, red painful injection sites along with a low grade fever. Is this a normal side effect for this product?

Every patient will respond differently to treatments. Swelling after any injection is very common, and can sometimes last a few days. If you are concerned or the swelling persists, I recommend following up with your doctor to have the area examined.

Tenderness and swelling is normal from this procedure but the redness and fever that you are speaking of is not.  I would follow up with your provider for evaluation of the area

Swelling after any injection is very common, but should only be experienced for a short period of time after your treatment. Usually up to 2 weeks on the face and a little longer off the face such as the thighs. It also depends on whether lidocaine was used or other techniques such as a cannula. I generally recommend daily exercise like walking or cycling to keep your circulation flowing to reduce swelling. If your swelling persists, I recommend a follow up consultation with your physician or injector to discuss.
