CoolSculpting® treats fat cells above the muscle, and will not have any effect on your organs. Because of the way the treated cells slowly exit the body via a natural elimination process, CoolSculpting® will not affect your triglyceride levels either. While there should be no concerns associated with having CoolSculpting® as you are dealing with these liver issues, it certainly is not a means of treatment for those issues. Further, a fatty liver can be the result of diet and lifestyle choices, and should be assessed by the appropriate physician.
CoolSculpting is a cosmetic procedure that kills and removes subcutaneous fat cells. It does not affect the skin nor any organs – including the liver. Because the fat cells destruct slowly and are eliminated from the body over several months, there is no change in triglycerides level. Also, removing fatty bulges with CoolSculpting will not have an affect one way or another on the conditions that caused your fatty liver. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert with CoolSculpting if you are looking to contour your body.
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting will not help reduce a fatty liver as it only targets subcutaneous fat which is surface level fat. Please see your doctor.Regards,
No, coolsculpting will not have any impact on reducing a fatty liver. Please see an expert gastrologist. Best, Dr. Emer
CoolSculpting will not help reduce fat in a fatty liver. CoolSculpting will only reduce fat that is just below the surface of the skin. The liver is much deeper within the abdominal cavity and would not be affected by CoolSculpting.
Hello and thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, CoolSculpting will not treat a fatty liver as it only works on the subcutaneous layer of fat. There should not be any contraindications for patients that have NASH or fatty liver and want to be treated with CoolSculpting, but be sure to mention all of your past medical history to your CoolSculpting expert during your consultation. Best Wishes.
No, CoolSculpting does not have effects on internal organs. It selectively targets fat cells that are OUTSIDE the abdominal wall. A gastrointestinal specialist or hepatologist will be more helpful to manage this condition.
CoolSculpting only target subcutaneous fat, it does not treat a fatty liver. As the procedure processes out the fat cells over a 2-3 month period, there is no spike in triglycerides and is therefore completely safe even with liver conditions are a consideration. A gastrologist will be able to advise you on treating the liver. Best of luck.
Coolsculpting will not affect your liver. It is designed to treat the fat below the skins surface and will not reach your liver. Also, the fat cells die slowly after Coolsculpting, so there is no surge in your blood fats after the procedure . Hope this helps, Lana Long, MD
CoolSculping only affects subcutaneous fat or the fat layer on the surface of your body. If you can pinch the fat it should be treatable with CoolSculpting. There are no studies to date that show CoolSculpting's effect on the metabolic profile and conditions such as fatty liver.
