CoolSculpting with sickle cell?

Yes, you may have Coolsculpting with Sickle Cell SC as long as you are cleared by your Doctor. In my opinion, it would be okay to have a CoolSculpting procedure done on a patient with Sickle Cell.  I would recommend discussing this with your primary care doctor or the hematologist that you see for sickle cell so that they are aware of your treatment plans and have no opposition.  

While there is no known contraindication to doing CoolSculpting with sickle cell, there is some evidence that exposure to cold weather can lead to sickle cell crisis. It is unknown whether or not localized cold exposure can do the same. The risk is low, but still must be considered if you are wanting to proceed with the CoolSculpting procedure. I would advise getting a consultation with a physician directed CoolSculpting practice so that the CoolSculpting physician and your primary doctor can make the safest recommendation for your suggested treatment plan.
