Uneven scar from filler necrosis - Would filler or Botox fill out the indented area? (Photo)

Question

I had necrosis from nose filler on 06/11/2022, leaving me with an uneven scar. I've tried plasma fibroblast to flatten the skin texture but it didn't work. I'm wondering if I can try filler or botox to fill out the indented area.

At least from the photo, there appears to be a couple of depressed boxcar-like scars. If so, simple, safe and effective subcision can be used to elevate and smooth them. If there is some elevation due to excessive fibrosis, then intralesional triamcinolone can help to shrink and flatten them. Once the scars have been elevated and flattened, respectively, then professionally performed Dermastamp microneedling can be used, if so desired , as a kind of final "polishing step" to improve any residual superficial, surface, color or texture irregularities. The use of filler in an area that has suffered trauma due to a filler would entail risk. However, since this is the glabella region, the supplemental use of Botox in this area, by virtue of its ability to decrease muscular motion, would likely be very beneficial for promoting more aesthetic healing from the aforementioned procedures. Make sure to consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

So sorry that this happened too you. The scars that you have can be treated but will require multiple different modalities. I would recommend a series of RF micro needling with PRP injection to the area to stimulate collagen formation. You could also use a very superficial injection of hyper dilute HA fill to pop out the deficit.

Please see a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon with extensive experience treating scars. Fractional lasers would likely help. Consider use of topical silicone gel products. Botox would probably be beneficial for the long-term. You need to see an expert physician in person who can direct your care. Generally scars can be improved but it is a slow process which requires multiple treatments using multiple different treatment modalities.
