I know this is a very hypothetical question, but I am wondering what happens if a plastic surgeon has a medical emergency during the procedure, e.g. passes out while performing a facelift. What is the worst case scenario? Is there a qualified back-up surgeon who can finish the procedure? Or is it likely that the patient will die or need a facial transplant?
