WIll Renuvion be effective for skin laxity on skin with stretch marks? (Photo)

Question

I have slight laxity on my buttocks and heaps of stretch marks. I personally don't mind the stretch marks and I have been undergoing laser treatment. However, what bothers me is the skin laxity. I was wondering if this is fixable with renuvion ( I am only looking for a small lift - scared of scaring from a tight lift/ lower body lift). Will renuvion work in my case?

Thank you for your question. Renuvion J-Plasma is a treatment that is effective for treating skin laxity in a variety of areas. It could potentially help with your skin laxity concerns, but it might not completely address them. It is difficult to assess your situation without an in-person consultation. The stretch marks, they would not be affect or improved by Renuvion.

A different option you could consider is a procedure such as a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) or a non-surgical BBL. These procedures aim to add volume to the buttocks area, which could also help to reduce the appearance of skin laxity. I would recommend scheduling a consultation so you can get a personalized recommendation based on your goals, the specific characteristics of your skin, and other relevant factors.

I purchased the Renuvion device early on when it became available for cosmetic purposes. I used it for about a year and literally saw no noticeable change or improvement in regards to skin tightening and neither did any of my patients.

I’ve since sold the device and regret having ever purchased it.

You’re probably better off with topical treatments like radio frequency micro needling no I personally don’t have that much experience with that procedure.

Renuvion almost requires doing liposuction to create space for the cannula. The buttocks has an abundance of connective tissue making it technically difficult to do a Renuvion procedure without causing secondary damage.

Personally I would steer you away from that procedure.

Likewise, I would also be very careful with Liposuction since removing fat can further compromise skin laxity or loss of skin elasticities due to age.
