Hello. I had Restylane under my eyes. I can see a lump bit also a sort of hollowness under the lump I am scared of dissolving. Do I need to dissolve? Or can I just ask for more filler under the lump ? Sorry for the ugly pictures. Thank you

1. Hyaluronidase Injection: This is an enzyme that can dissolve hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane. The injection can help get rid of the lump. However, it's important to inform the patient that the process might also affect the surrounding treated areas, causing them to lose some volume as well.

2. Massage: Gentle massage can sometimes help to distribute the filler more evenly and reduce the lumpiness. However, this should be done carefully and only under professional guidance to avoid causing any damage.

3. Wait and Observe: If the lump is not causing any discomfort or severe aesthetic concern, it might be best to wait. Most fillers are temporary and the lump might reduce on its own over time.

4. Additional Filler: If the hollow area is a concern, additional filler could be used to fill it out and create a smoother contour.

Hi,Thank you for the question. Tear trough injections are sometimes problematic and unfortunately your concern is not uncommon. The skin below the eye is extraordinarily thin, and injection of filler in the area requires a lot of precision in the proper location, sufficiently deep, in the appropriate quantity with the right amount of filler. Injecting too much, too close to the skin, and not evenly dispersed can cause irregularities. Within having seen you in person I can’t say for sure, but I would likely recommend this be dissolved and properly reinjected, either with filler or fat grafting. I would probably not inject more to try to camouflage it, that could make matters worse. There is little harm in dissolution.

It's difficult to determine what is causing the contour that concerns you.  I encourage you to visit with an expert injector for an evaluation.  If it is filler causing the bump then it can be dissolved and you can try again.  If the contour is from one area being underfilled then further treatment should improve your result.
