your areolas will probably change in size and color after you stop breastfeeding. If the size bothers you, you can get areola reduction surgery or maybe even breast lift. Breasts come in all shapes and sizes and that is true for the areola as well! Once you have finished breastfeeding for at least three months you can consider a breast lift. This not only will remove excess skin and raise the nipple position, it will also downsize the areolas.

Every woman has different sized areolas. Some have large, some small, sometimes they have two totally different sized areolas. Continue breast feeding, as that is best for your little one. You are a trooper, breast feeding is hard but the best gift you can give your child! Once you have finished breastfeeding. Give your breast at least a month to recover and go through natural changes.
