I got BFR removal three years ago and unpleased. I'm aware of new techniques such as buccal fat augmentation that most surgeons don't do. They are now able to fill in the buccal space again through the mouth with fat and create a new sort of padding. Would this new fat that now lives deep inside the space (between tissues and muscles) change with weight loss/gain like superficial skin fat transfer? Or would it not react much to weight changes like the original pad since it's deep?

Research has shown that it takes about 4 months for fat grafting to stabilize. Particularly on the face, you may need more than one session to achieve your desired result. I generally wait at least the 4 months and frequently up to 6 months.
