It is hard to say with only 1 view of what the best treatment plan is. There are multiple fillers on the market than be used for different areas on the face. My recommendation is for you to see a trained plastic surgeon who can make an assessment and offer you their best treatment plan.

Hello, and thank you for your question. You are beautiful in your own skin and I understand if you want to improve certain areas. By looking at your photo, it does not seem you need to lose weight, but that can only be determined at an in-person consult to truly evaluate your height, weight, and BMI. If you are concerned about a round face, there are treatment options that can help. We have a masseter muscle in our face that helps with chewing, but it can often increase or bulge in size due to stress, teeth grinding, clenching of the jaw, etc. If this is the case, that muscle can be treated with neurotoxin to help shrink the muscle. This will give a more contoured appearance to the face. On top of this, dermal filler can also help with providing structure and contour to specific areas of the face. I would recommend scheduling a consult with a practitioner to determine the best treatment for you.

Facial sculpting and contouring can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Countour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Your cheeks look heavy because your lower face is narrow by comparison. You can try filler on the jawline to balance the upper face. Remember, fullness in the face is a huge benefit in looking younger as you age so do not be too quick to reduce it..

Depending on genetics and other factors, healthy weight loss could contribute to a slimmer face. However, if weight loss is not safe and healthy for you, there are other options for achieving the look you want. Dermal fillers are likely not the best option, as they are most effective for smoothing textures or for adding volume. PDO threads, though, could be a good nonsurgical method, as they can help to significantly tighten, lift, and contour the face. If you notice changes to your facial features when you are at a lower weight then weight loss may help. Surgically you can consider buccal fat removal. You may be a candidate for masseter Botox which slims the jawline. An in person evaluation is needed for the best recommendation.

I am so sorry that you do not like your facial proportion. Have a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon and discuss Buccal Fat removal. I think this will give you the results you are looking for and then perhaps some jawline fill to balance things out for you.
