My chin implant is too big i think? I got a chin implant 3 years ago and i feel like it makes my face too long? Not sure if this chin implant is too big for my face. My surgeon i remember told me he put a small chin implant but i am not sure. If you look on the side it kinda looks too big. Im thinking of removing and getting a much smaller one.

Answer: Perhaps it isn't "too big", but wrong. Hi Jasmine! Suppose the objective is to correct or replace your current implant with another "better" one. In that case, the key to achieving the look you expect is to utilize a custom-made implant that is exclusively designed for you. Thinking in terms of small, medium, or large sizes alone might only make your current dissatisfaction worst. You'd want to spend time examining the shape, horizontal and vertical lengths, and, more importantly, your particular likes and dislikes. To minimize most problems in fit, style, and look, first, we would need to order you a CT scan of your chin and jaw area to see what it is possible to do for you with clarity and certainty. The last thing you'd want to do is go through another unpleasant procedure. Depending on the type of implant you have now, there is a strong possibility that your current implant has made a "groove" or indentation in your bone's surface, and merely using another standard or off-the-shelf implant could bring additional issues down the road. You do have options. To make sure you look as beautiful as you want to look, we would need to spend a considerable amount of time understanding your exact likes and dislikes, i.e., a more oval, round, or softer look. A custom implant that is exclusively designed for you will likely guarantee better results. Perhaps you think your chin implant is a bit too square, and you see it as too "big"? Could it be that you feel as though the transition of your chin and your jowls (Jaw area) is too abrupt? From your profile view, your chin does not look too long. For this and other reasons, you'd want to start with a CT scan so we can review and present you with all of your options. I hope that helps, and if you have other questions, don't be shy and ask away!
