The Brava system is not dangerous, and can be combined with fat transfer to the breast for augmentation, although the results are usually minimal (eg a half cup size). I would consult with a plastic surgeon to see whether this option is applicable for you.
The brava system is not dangerous, but I have yet to see any really good results from using it. I think it's a waste of time and money.
The Brava system is safe, but not so effective for true augmentation. Simple breast augmentation with the most biocompatible, non-reactive, durable implant known to man, silicone gel, is safe, effective, long-lasting, and in all conducted studies consistently generates very high levels of patient satisfaction. Breast enlargement with FDA approved cohesive gel implants is so much easier than putting that Brava device on to suck on your breast skin every night for months. Results are beautiful, natural, safe, and long-lasting.
The system seems good but is experimental. Always consult with a board certified Plastic Surgeon before deciding on a treatment. This post is not intended to be medical advice and is for informational purposes only.
Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the use of this system. All the Best.
Before you go through the expense of purchasing the Brava system, you should meet with several board certified plastic surgeons so you can understand exactly what the system will and will not do. It is not a stand alone breast enlarging method. It is used in concert with fat grafting which may or may not be a predictable way to enhance the volume of your breasts. In spite of heavy marketing, results from fat grafting are not as predictable as implants. Unless you are using the Brava system with guidance and instructions of a plastic surgeon you may cause injury to yourself and be disappointed with your result.
Hi Michelle and thanks for your question. The Brava system is not dangerous but may only result in a very conservative or modest increase in breast size. Instead of investing in this option I would strongly recommend that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you all the most effective treatment options available. Best of luck!
While I don't believe this would be dangerous, you need to know whether it will accomplish your goals before you spend the money. The best way is to meet with several board-certified plastic surgeons to se the predictability of the Brava outcome. Below is a silicone implant outcome.
The Brava system has been designed to be used with the guidance of plastic surgeon. Without expert guidance from a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon you could potentially ruin your breasts.Stephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
Consult with a surgeon certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. The Brava system is not a "natural " enhancement system. Unless you consider a negative pressure apparatus on your breasts to be "natural". While it may be very helpful for breast enhancement using fat transfer in the hands of a board certified plastic surgeon. To use the system on your own without fat grafting might be disappointing and any improvement you might achieve, might be transient. I don't think there have been any studies to show any negative harm from the process. Research plastic surgeons who use the Brava System. They will be best suited to answer your questions.Best of luck.Jon Sattler, MD
Fewer online reviews could mean that your surgeon has not been practicing as long as some, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. His professionalism and the impression he made when you met him is very important. As well, it may be helpful to ask the office staff if there are patients of his...
Capsular contracture does not develop overnight. You could have a mastitis (infection) as your physician has diagnosed, or perhaps that breast is more engorged with breast milk than the other. In either case, I don't think you need to worry about capsular contracture right now.
An excellent question. Bruising causes a patchy discoloration of the skin without a defined area of swelling or lump. A hematoma has associated bruising but also tends to have a specific lump. Also a hematoma is something that requires some attention. I wouldn't hesitate to discuss any...
After that amount of time, there is a possibility that infection has set in. One option is to remove the implant and replace it once the infection has settled, usually in 3 months or so. Another option, which I have used several times successfully, is a salvage procedure. If it...
I generally advise my patients to avoid all exercise for 3 weeks, and then to avoid any upper body muscle work for an additional 3 weeks. If you can ride without straining on the reins, then I think 3 weeks is sufficient. If, however, you expect there to be sudden pulling etc, I...
I would definitely not worry after 2 weeks. I routinely see it takes 3 to 4 months for the breasts to settle and soften after breast augmentation. There is no harm, however, in asking your PS about it at your next visit.
