I'm really self conscious about it, althought it is small. It makes my profile look completly different on each side and I hate it
Answer: Nasal bump Removing the nasal bump would require a rhinoplasty. However, it looks like you need other parts of the nose, such as the tip, worked on as well. You should go on a few consults with surgeons in your area known fir their rhinoplasty work to determine which option would work best for you. Estimated fist would be from $7000 to $9000, including all costs.

Answer: Can I fix this tiny bump on my nose without surgery? And with surgery, how much would it cost? I think that a closed rhinoplasty to remove the small hump would provide a nice improvement for you.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Removing a small bump on the nose? The best way to do this and by far the cheapest in the long run is with surgery. There's no other way to remove the bump. Can be camouflaged with fillers but this is expensive and must be repeated yearly and often causes bumps irregularity and makes the nose look bigger. So I would not advise that for you.

Answer: Can I fix this tiny bump on my nose without surgery? And with surgery, how much would it cost? Hyaluronic fillers can elevate the depressed area above the hump, called the radix, and camouflage the hump producing a modest cosmetic improvement. They generally last 6-9 months. Micro-fat grafts are a more permanent filler, but require a more involved procedure. There are synthetic permanent fillers, but most plastic surgeons would warn against using them, especially in the nasal area because of the long term potential complications. Fillers will not produce the same long term balanced cosmetic result that can be achieved with an artistically performed natural appearing rhinoplasty. Starting with a hyaluronic filler is a reasonable first step. If you like the result and want something more permanent you can always proceed with one of the other options. Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on limited two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of each procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) or facial plastic surgeon (otolaryngologist) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACS La Jolla, California

Answer: Surgical rhinoplasty for nasal hump removal The dorsal hump is composed of both bone and cartilage and must be surgically shaved down in order to remove it permanently. We do not recommend temporary fillers placed in the nose due to significant complications that can occur with their placement. Once the dorsal hump has been shaved down, osteotomies of the nasal bones are then required. for many examples of surgical hump removal and our price list, please see the link below
