Numbness and twitches on neck and face, 2 years post op. Is there any way to improve this?

A 2nd face/neck lift, about 5 years apart, has left me with a lot numbness on neck and face with a small area that contracts when I smile (right lower lip and 1/2 inch under it on chin). On left side of lower lip and face under it, I still feel a golf ball-sized numbness. It's been more than 2 years. There was a lot more numbness from edge of outer eyes down cheeks to jaw. The doctor took biopsies of salivary glands in neck because I asked him to based on ex-rays that showed problems ( turned out to be calsifications). A nurse suggested Botox for muscle contraction. Doctor just says to wait and all should resolve. After 2 years am I likely to get more improvement? What about trying Botox? I'm 77.
