After a year or more following a thread lift will the skin elasticity ruin or anything else?

Question

What are long term side effects of thread lift (Mint lift)? Want it for eyebrow lift, tried Botox and it did not give results that I want and wore off fast. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your question. As someone ages, the benefits of the thread lifting wears off, but the lifting does not create any problems. Make sure you treating doctor is experience with facial procedures. Good luck!

As we age, we slowly lose laxity in our skin.   Like a rubber band,  elastin allows skin to stretch and contract back to its original shape. It also gives your skin flexibility.  Unfortunately, we lose more and more of this as we continue to age.

Much more information is needed, such as you age, and a full set of facial photographs in order to make a determination about how best to proceed with the appropriate procedure.  A browlift is only performed for  patients who have a low set eyebrows

Dear SanJose,As we age the skin naturally falls downwards, the elasticity of the skin reduces, the skin thins, fatty deposits start to form where we don’t want them, we can lose volume where we want to maintain it, boney structures begin to get thinner, and lax jowls and less defined jawlines become more common. Threat lifts may give temporary lift, and when they lose effectiveness, the skin sags again.Good skin care, spf 30+,  good sleep, healthy diet, stress reduction all help maintain a healthy look inside and out.Botox, fillers, facial resurfacing, liposuction, skin tightening, neck lifts and facelifts are all helpful tools as well.Best. Dear Seharaxo, I would suggest that you seek some consultations to determine the best course of action for you. I do not find thread lifts to be effective and most patients who want to lift the brows especially the younger patients will opt for an endoscopic browlift where the small incisions are placed in the hairline providing a natural looking appearance with no tell tale signs of surgery.
