Eye bag after Sculptra? I need help (Photo)

Question

I just done sculptra(1vial) with under eyes and cheek a weeks ago. This's my 1st time for sculptra. But i noticed the tear trough is showing after injection. I look older after injection!!! Doc said eye bag will go back to normal after 5 days. Its been 8 days, it still there. Should I live with this eye bag for the rest of my life? :( What should I do ?

This is most likely due to swelling from the injections and will take 1-2 weeks to resolve.  You can get RF treatments like venus legacy or thermi 250 to help give improvement. Keep in mind, Sculptra is a great product for improving facial volume and collagen building, but for best results, I recommend using it in a combination depending on desired results. I combine Sculptra with other fillers, lasers, toxins and skin care to give immediate results. Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo.  It's difficult to make exact recommendations without assessing you in-person.  That said, the tear troughs and under eyes are a particularly sensitive area, and are prone to swelling for up to 2 weeks after filler injections.  Sculptra treatments also typically involve injecting a large volume of fluid into the face, which can cause swelling as well.  Gently applying ice or cool compresses to the area can help the swelling resolve sooner.  I would recommend following-up with your injector if the swelling persists.  Best of luck!

Thank you for writing. The product  that I use around the eye is almost exclusively belotero. Sculptra can be tricky unless it is deeply injected ( think just over the bone). I think you would be best served by discussing your options with the Doctor who did the injections.Hope this helps,Dr Beverly Johnson
