I am on Herceptin IV every 21 days for metastatic BC. Will Sculptra be safe and work for me?

I desperately need volume in my face and HA fillers are not lasting 6 months. Can I have Sculptra while getting Herceptin? If I would have to switch to chemotherapy would that affect the Sculptra? Can I get Sculptra in my upper cheeks if I have Lyft there now? Since I have mets I will always be receiving some form of cancer treatment. Thank you, doctors!!

First of all I wish you health and happiness. Hang in there and make the most of every day. You can get sculptra and will do fine. There is no problem switching from HA filles to Sculptra. You can also try Juvederm Voluma which lasts two years. Keep smiling and looking good. RegardsDr. Janjua

Yes you can get Sculptra while on Herceptin. This would be a great way to add "natural" volume to your face, and I love using it to add a foundation especially if you've lost weight due to cancer, chemo, etc.  The nice thing is, the sculptra particles go away, and then it's all your own tissue, so no risk of infection.
