I am using Finacea and have had a bad purging experince from Retinol so I am scared...

Most lite peels such as jessners or 10%TCA do great to improve acne breakouts and get rid of the discolorations that acne leave. Often 3-6 peels are needed and done 2 weeks apart

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to determine if peels are right for you. Peels should only be applied by a professional. Thank you for your question. A chemical peel in many cases will cause some acne breakouts after treatment, but the skin will clear up within a few weeks. Light base therapy would be a great option to decrease inflammation from acne. Hope this help. Good luck.
