Question

I've noticed over the years that I've developed an eyebag on one side that appears when smiling. I have some eyebags showing when not smiling as well, but they're equal on both sides and not that bothersome. The problem is that when I smile the left side eyebag looks huge. I've had tear trough fillers on both sides and also tried 1 unit of botox that was put right on the under eye, but neither of them helped. Could blepharoplasty solve this problem?

Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photos. It might be possible to remove the small bag in your lower eyelid. The surgeon must take significant precautions to avoid over-correction of the problem. See an experienced oculoplastic surgeon for detailed evaluation and guidance.

Your are a good candidate for lower eyelid fat pad removal. But make sure it’s done on both sides or you’ll be back soon enough to have the other side done. I do this with the patient awake under local anesthesia. Easier than going to the dentist

It appears that you may have muscle hypertrophy n the left. A small amount of Botox may correct this.
