Hi. I have very chubby cheeks that make me look much fatter than I actually is. Also, my parents have chubby cheeks as well, so I think I have the genes for fat cheeks. Doctors suggested me undergoing procedures to get rid of my facial fat. But I am afraid of going under the knife. Are there any non-surgical ways to do it? Thanks!

Non-surgical alternatives to buccal fat removal for improvement of chubby cheeks are both diet and exercise. When normal or normal low body fat is achieved with diet and exercise, the size of the chubby cheeks could be reduced in certain patients. However, very often buccal fat removal is resistant to weight loss.There is a non-surgical alternative to chin liposuction (our liposuction of the double chin). It is kybella injections. Kybella is a product that melts the fat away and has been shown to reduce the fullness underneath the chin.
