These silly little lifts that don't do anything are a waste of money. It is better to get a real advanced face/neck lift for only $12-15,000 and be super happy. It is done under local so it is safer and results are amazing and long lasting.(not just 6 months like the stupid mini lift)
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for the question. Terminology in aging face surgery is often confusing or misleading. The difference between what is considered a mini-lift or S-lift and a "real" facelift varies significantly between surgeons. The most common distinction has to do with whether or not the neck is treated; meaning, in a mini-lift, no work would be done on the platysma muscles and the incisions would be made shorter behind the ears. This is basically the way that I define it for my patients. The choice should be made, however, based on your anatomy; choosing a procedure that won't work for your situation in order to save a little money is unlikely to produce a result that you're excited about. Best of luck and take care!
there are so many abbreviated forms of facelifts that I can’t even count them all. In my opinion there is no short cut to a good result. Having a standard facelift doesn’t take much more time or money and it will give you much better improvement. I have seen many mini lifts, especially the S lift be very disappointing because there was only a little improvement. Get it done right the first time otherwise you’re a set up for disappointment and redoing it in in just s few years. And paying twice.i
KittyKat2018I can appreciate your concern and confusion with this regard. Most mini facelift techniques and incisions are similar, however they have different names, sometimes meant to try to stand out from other procedures. My favorite technique is the MACS short scar Mini-Facelift. Developed in Europe, it is the ideal approach for the younger patient, not ready for a full facelift, or patients who desire a less invasive procedure with a shorter recovery time. It addresses both the mid face area (especially the jowls) as well as the neck, if needed. It usually costs a bit less than a full facelift because it is a shorter procedure, requiring less time for anesthesia and operating room. Check out the link below to an article I wrote about this technique. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore the best options for you. Good luck.
cover a huge range of procedures. I have evolved over my career to essentially use the same incisions as a full facelift because it produces a much better outcome in my hands and helps the neck the most. My mini-lift does not have the submental incision or platysma work that a full facelift does. But I no longer have to deal with wrinkles behind the ears that follow short scar mini-facelifts. And when done in the office under local, this procedure can be done for less than $3500! The operating room is preferred but options for savings do exist.
There are lots of different terms for minilifts. Basically, a mini lift will give you mini results. It's very important to choose quality over price, since this is your face. The goals of a lower face and neck lift are to tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscle, lift the jowls, and remove the fatty deposits above and below is the muscle in the neck in addition to a platysma-plasty. Study your prospective surgeon's before and after facelift photo gallery and make sure that is extensive and you like the natural results.
There are so many different facelifts, including variations in incision location, extent and depth of dissection it is impossible to answer your question. Ask the surgeons exactly what will be done and see long term examples of results in patients who had the procedure you're considering.
Hi Sexyslew69,Your question is good, but the choice of your answers is not good. If not A, then my only choice is B? I apologize for this long response in advance. Short answers are good for getting to the recommendation (the sales part), but not great educating anyone. Does making a rec...
As no facelift is a "cookie-cutter" procedure-with a mini facelift, incisions would usually be in front of the ear and around the lobe to behind the ear to ensure the SMAS muscle and skin is tightened. These incisions can be hidden in the contour (crease in front) of the ear so once healed...
For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest...
