Infini RF recovery time and complications for acne scars in ethnic skin?

40 yo with ethnic background olive/light skin (middle eastern) 1) What is the social down time including recovery from scaps, etc) 2) I heard there is rish of grid-marks, how serious is this? AS a reference, when I do fraxel on energy setting 60, treatment level 8 and number of passes 8, I need 5 days before I can leave the house of redness and swelling to subside.

Typically we recommend that you wait about two weeks to heel properly. Less downtime and less risk of pigmentation issues means more treatments are needed, but the end result is a safe improvement that builds over time. Infini is a popular treatment, but I prefer Intensif because the needles are non-insulated and it gives more robust results. I always combine microneedling with prp and lasers to get the best outcomes. Best, Dr. Emer

Depends on treatment level and many other operator factors. The deeper you go, the less chances of grinding. The short the PD, the less chance. Timing of energy delivery is critical. I know Lutronic says no PIH, however this is operator dependent. In my ethnic skin type 3 and above, I use PRP as this shortens recovery to only 2-3 days at most, even with long PD and high energy levels. Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
