It is normal to have redness after microneedling for a few days. This is due to inflammation and histamine release. For best results with microneedling combine with lasers like fraxel, aerolase,, Clear+Brilliant, C02, or Erbium to get improved collagen.  We suggest all patients follow up with facials like Silk Peel Dermalinfusuion to hydrate, exfoliate and provide the skin with antioxidants. Sun protection is also essential. If it doesn't resolve in a few days, please consult your physician and get vascular laser treatments to decrease the redness and swelling -- excel V, v beam/pulsed dye laser, or yellow laser.  LED therapy with lightstim right now would also help. I would say that the treatment was perhaps too aggressive. Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation has occurred. Despite insulated needles, the Infini can cause PIH if there is too much energy given. This needs to be treated with retin A, hydroquinones, peels, and perhaps pico lasers. It looks like only small areas were treated. If the areas are not allowed to cool between passes, what ends up happening is bulk heating, and all the benefits of insulation go out the window. We use Zimmer chillers on all cases and alternate sides during treatments. More aggressive isn't always a better outcome as well. One study we did showed that more energy only lead to longer downtime but no improvement in outcomes.

Your dermatologist will know best as  he or she would have tailored your treatment parameters according to your scar resistance. Despite the marketing about 'no PIH with insulated RF ' this is not true, and you are a classic example. This PIH should settle in the next 3-4 weeks, the use of HQ pre and post treatment can help.
