I sat the whole first week of my Brazilian Butt Lift did I damage the fat?

Hi yoce30,I'm sorry to hear about your rough recovery.  Most plastic surgeons will advocate minimizing any pressure to the buttock for 2-3 weeks after surgery.  Various methods of avoiding pressure (like your swim tube) are used to help ease the recovery.  It sounds like you did what you could, given the circumstance.  Only about 2/3 of fat survives, but even without a sitting protocol, you will see a good amount of fat survive.  At this point you are on the home stretch and should make sure you discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon who can examine you and give you realistic expectations.  Hope that helps!Best,Dr. B

Where did you go for your BBL?  Did you speak with your surgeon?  I imagine he/she would want to know if you had a blood transfusion.  You should also reach out to him/her about the sitting.  He/she will be able to point you in the best direction.
