Dimpling after PDO thread treatment done 15 days ago. Seeing no improvement after told to massage it. Thoughts? (photo)

Dimpling can occur, but usually goes away. Massaging after 2 weeks can help.Please consult with your surgeon for expectations and instructions.

Irregularities  are occasionally seen after PDO threads. It sometimes takes up to six weeks for them to settle down. After two weeks you can begin massage. Should the depression not resolve, removal of the thread and reinsertion is suggested. Good luck.

Generally PDO threads are not performed correctly. In fact in general it is not a treatment which gives fantastic lift either as it does not address skin laxity. My advice is to have the threads removed. 

Generally, dimples should resolve within about 3 weeks.  If they don't the practitioner should be able to undermine the dimple with a cannula to release the thread from under the skin.  If this is not successful, placing filler in the dimple should solve the problem.

Thank you for your question. While it may seem a prolonged time, some instances these may take up to a month to return to predimpling phase.  If it doesn't, then follow up with the physician who inserted them.

Occasionally, thread lifting can produce dimpling and in my experience it will usually resolve.  Typically dimpling resolves within 24-48 hrs.  Try massaging and be patient with it.  If it does not resolve or improve, return to your physician and get input.  You may need the dimple released or excised.  Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the photo with your question. It is very common to have some dimples after the procedure and often they are associated with significant lifting. They are temporary, but can take upwards of a month to settle down. Massage can be helpful, but I typically do not instruct patients to do that, as I would prefer to let it settle with time and not interfere with the lifting result, however, the doctor who performed the lift, should be willing to see you in person and put your mind at ease and massage it if needed.

dimpling is definitely one of the PDO threads encounters, that usually goes away with time or gets milder. I don’t believe regular massage will help much. 
But if you open your mouth and massage the cheek with index finger from outside and thumb from inside  it will help :).
