I'm interested in knowing more about PDO thread lifts. Can the be done on someone who has had silicone in their face years ago.

I had this done on the naso labial folds years ago, no complications, I don't want to cause myself any complications. I'm getting slight bowels, and also would love to lift the briuw a bit. Seeking to avoid invasive surgery at this point.

Silicone reacts differently in every individual. If you have threads put into your cheeks, it will put stress on your nasolabial folds. It's not possible to predict the outcome. . PDO threads are not contraindicated in patients who have had prior silicone injections. The only absolute contraindications are  any known allergy or foreign body sensitivities to synthetic biomaterialsThe advisability of using PDO threads should be assessed on a case by case basis by a physician experienced In their use.

PDO Thread Lifts are a good way to lift the cheek and jowl area however because they stimulate collagen, I would not recommend having them in the same area where silicone was injected. Sometimes disturbing the silicone can cause a granulomatous reaction. If you had silicone injections in the nasiolabial folds, PDO Threads in the cheek and jawline area would be safe to do.
