My nose is wide but not very. My chin is very short vertically and I have a receding chin.My nose profile wise is not big,it's just that my receding chin makes it look like that.I was wondering if getting chin fillers could vertically and horizontally make my chin bigger. Also, my face is very skinny at the bottom, and I was wondering if gaining weight could fill in my cheeks.I have a bmi of 15 so I am underweight.if I get chin fillers and lip injections can they balance out my nose?

Answer: Re balancing the face Yes fillers can be used to improve facial appearance. Proper placement can disguise other facial imperfections. Find a skilled injector. Best Wishes, Maurice Vick MD

Answer: Facial balance Facial fillers used appropriately can be wonderful for facial contouring and achieving balance. However, if your chin is vertically short and recessed, you may be a better candidate for a chin implant or genioplasty (moving the chin bone forward and down). While I would have to evaluate you to give you a customized treatment plan, you may want to consider the surgical route to achieve the look you want. As for adding volume to your face, weight gain is an option although in women the face is the last to gain and the first to lose fat. Another option for someone with a low BMI like you is to use Sculptra. This is a fantasic filler that also builds collagen in the skin so it plumps you up. You made need a couple rounds to get the best result, but again without evaluating you in person I can only make a suggestion. Make sure you find a qualified plastic surgeon if you're curious about these procedures, or an experienced injector for filler! I hope this helps. -Dr. Leong
