I am planning on getting breast implants. Typically, which shape would likely look the best POST breast feeding? I know that after pregnacy and breast feeding, that the breast tissue is looser/saggier. Does having a tear drop implant increase the sagginess since there is more fullness on the bottom naturally and less on top - resulting in even less volume on top after pregnancy? Would a round implant help maintain more fullness throughout the entire breast after breast feeding?
Answer: Breast Implant Round or Tear Drop - Affects After Pregnancy // Breast Feeding? The type of implant that is right for a patient depends on the particular anatomy of the breast during physical examination. There is no particular implant that will be more or less beneficial after breast feeding. Each patient is tailored given the appearance of their breasts.Make sure you see a board certified surgeon and get a complete evaluation.

Answer: Implant style It would be very difficult to recommend a type of implant without actually examining you and evaluating your breast measurements. Unfortunately, every breast shape is different and after breast feeding, not all breasts lose volume in the same areas or "sag" in the same way. I recommend you find a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation. Good luck!

Answer: It is impossible to determine how a breast will look after pregnancy and breast feeding This is an impossible question to ask, although I understand exactly why you are asking it. In order to properly advise you along these lines we'd have to somehow have a way to see into the future, and there is no way we can predict how your specific breasts will respond to pregnancy and breast feeding. Further, it will be impossible to determine how each different implant would be expected to perform over time in your breasts, especially taking pregnancy into consideration. The best thing to do in a situation like this is to first decide if the results of the operation would be a benefit to you here and now. Don't try to factor in future events which may or may not occur, such as pregnancy or breast feeding, and which results we have no way of predicting. Simply decide based upon the here and now. Once you do that, if it is breast augmentation that you decide on, pick the type of implant that meets your goals, again, here and now. How would you like your breasts to look NOW? That's really all we can work with at this point. In general, shaped implants tend to produce a more "natural" sloping appearance of the breasts, while round implants create a fuller projection all around, including the top. At this point the best thing for you to do is schedule consults with board certified plastic surgeons who have experience with all types of breast augmentation using all types of implants so that you will be sure to explore all options available to you and select the one that best meets your goals. In addition to being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only generally recognized organization which certifies true plastic surgeons and has the term “Plastic Surgery” in its title, your surgeon should also participate in the Maintenance of Certification program administered by that board. This program requires that surgeons who participate continue to update their credentials and professional standing regularly, as opposed to practicing on a single lifetime certificate like those plastic surgeons who elect not to participate. To find further information about this program and any surgeons you might consider for your surgery, I suggest visiting these sites: abplsurg.org and abms.org. Good luck.

Answer: Effects of breast implant shape affecting post pregnancy shape No body knows the answer to your question. I would steer you against tear drop implant unless there is a clear indication on why you would want them. They can rotate and flip which will necessitate unnecessary revision surgery.

Answer: Breast Implant Round or Tear Drop You are correct in appreciating the contours of a tear drop implant and that is is more full in the lower half of the breast. I would suggest a normal, moderate plus, sized silicone implant.
