Will I be benefit from a brow ridge (Brow bossing) reduction? (photos)

Brow bone reduction is the most feminizing of all the procedures we do for most of my patients.  Based on your photos (and it is a little difficult to tell with the eye blurring) I would guess that brow bone reduction would still be feminizing for you, even without dramatic bossing.  We don't just reduce the brow bossing, but open up the bone around the eyes to make them appear larger, brighter, and more feminine.  We often combine bone reduction with hairline advancement and a brow lift, and these are additional reasons you may want to consider this surgery.  The actual type of reduction performed, type I-III, depends more on the location and size of the sinus cavity under your eyebrows than on the amount of bossing you have.  Some patients have very thick bone that can be significantly reduced without making the remaining bone over the sinus too thin.  In reality most of us do not have that much bone, and I perform a type III reduction in most patients.  Performing a type III reduction is actually much safer than performing a type I reduction and leaving only a very thin layer of bone over the sinus.  Most surgeons who do this surgery frequently perform type III reductions on the majority of their patients. -Dr. Rolfes

It seems, based on these very limited photos, that lowering your nasal root (part of the nose bellow brows) will visually shorten your nose and soften forehead prominence. Yes, I would recommend that procedure possibly with slight reduction of nose height (dorsum) and nose tip refinement. Not very extensive surgery; all can be done in twilight or local anesthesia.
