Tummy Tuck Scar Tissue Remova I had a mommy make over in 2015. I am happy with my overall results however I had expected the swelling at my tummy tuck to have gone away a long time ago. I am now understanding this must be a lot of scar tissue. It is hard and always sticking out. Are there any procedures that can be done to remove this or reduce the size of the “lump” I now have?
Answer: Liposuction and abdominal scar revision Very likely that you would benefit from aggressive liposuction of the abdomen and flanks as well as excision and lowering of the abdominoplasty scar. In person consultation is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Scar tissue Dear SDMom619, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Lump You may have an organized seroma now filled with scar tissue which can be excised and drained again, or you may have some excess fat which can be treated with liposuction. An examination will tell what you have.

Answer: Kenalog injections can help break up scar tissue Abdominoplasty scars can be quite complex, ranging from the simple hypertrophic scar to a multiplane inflamed keloid. Pigmentation, discoloration, chronic inflammation, scar visibility can all occur in the short term. We begin each treatment with combination therapy using Yellow broadband BBL, Vbeam, fractional erbium, intralesional IIT, and scar modulation. Start with a combination of Plato's Scar Serum massaged twice daily after one week of epithelialization followed by Luminase/Exfolase. Scar consultation and revision may be recommended. Answer: Scar tissue post MMO It is not uncommon to experience swelling and the formation of scar tissue after a tummy tuck procedure. While some degree of swelling is normal in the months following surgery, persistent swelling and the presence of scar tissue can be problematic and lead to discomfort and dissatisfaction with the appearance of the abdomen. There are a few options for addressing scar tissue after a tummy tuck. One option is to undergo a revision surgery, during which the surgeon can remove the scar tissue and any excess skin or fat, and reposition the remaining tissue for a smoother contour. Another option is to receive corticosteroid injections, which can help to reduce inflammation and break down scar tissue. These injections may be given directly into the scar tissue or into the surrounding tissue to reduce swelling and improve the appearance of the abdomen. It is important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience in revision tummy tuck procedures to determine the best course of action for your specific case. They will be able to evaluate the extent of the scar tissue and develop a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your desired results. Best of luck !
