I' m looking to get gynecomastia (w/gland removal) + abdominoplasty + liposuction in the flanks, abdomen, back. I also have some fat under the chin so would get liposuction in the submental. Was told surgery would take approx 4.5-5 hours. Is it common and advisable to get so many areas done in one surgery. Would it be safer to have a smaller surgery first. I figured it’s better to have all areas done in one surgery for cost and also not have to go through multiple surgeries/recovery times

Answer: Combination pf procedures Dear Persistent972645, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others. Answer: Safety of combination surgeries As long as you are in good health, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to have all of your procedures performed at one time. It is common to perform combination body surgeries. Also, the majority of your planned surgeries involve liposuction so It may be difficult to separate the procedures. If you still have any concerns, discuss them with your surgeon but I think you should be good to proceed.
