I’ve had Gynecomastia for 10+ years there is a ton of fat in my breast and nipple I hate it so much please help is there anything I can take as I cannot afford surgery
Answer: Non-surgical options for gynecomastia I understand your concerns. I can offer general advice, since there are no photos posted. For a full recommendation, I advice you to see a Plastic Surgeon in person. I recommend you maintain a healthy body weight, and exercise and eat well. This will maximize any treatment. If you have tried this already, keep it up and don't give up on the benefits of a healthy diet and exercise. Non-surgical options include Coolsculpting. Coolsculpting reduces the amount of fat that is present. It does not eliminate all fat, but does reduce the amount of fat present. It is a non-surgical treatment with minimal to no recovery time. Coolsculpting will not remove any glandular tissue that is present in gynecomastia and does not remove excess skin however it can reduce the size of the chest somewhat. Please be sure to see an experienced provider prior to deciding whether or not it will be beneficial for you. All the best to you, Dr. Nancy de Kleer

Answer: Gynecomastia surgery Dear Fantastic544595, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, gynecomastia will require surgical removal. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Gynecomastia It is very common for men to want male breast reduction or gynecomastia surgery. While surgery is the best option, nonsurgical treatment with Kybella injections and laser skin tightening are options for those not interested in surgery but you must be realistic and expectations need to be set accordingly. I tell all my patients that there's a 100% chance of asymmetry after any breast surgery with or without a lift. Of course, the goal is to try to make you as equal as possible but everyone has asymmetries of the ribs, the muscles etc. It's very important to understand this as you, like all men, have some breast asymmetry that would be pointed out on examination and before any surgery. When men have excess breast skin, a reduction of this excess skin can be done through various scars and there are 3 different types of scars including liposuction, areolar scar, as well as all sorts of other chest scars. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of male breast reductions and gynecomastia surgery. I hope this helps answer your question. If it does, please take a moment to up vote this answer on the “respond” button on the top right.

Answer: Treatment for gynecomastia There is no non-surgical treatment for gynecomastia unless the condition is due to temporary teenage fluctuations in hormones. For most men once you have it it’s not going to get better unless you have surgical intervention. Obese individuals can get improvement by losing weight. Fullness in the chest needs to be assessed appropriately. fullness can we do to skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat and true gynecomastia or the development of breast tissue. Each of the three tissue layers are treated differently and successful surgical outcomes are based on making an accurate assessment knowing it which of the three tissues is the primary, secondary and tertiary problem. Insurance is not going to cover this procedure so you’ll need to save your money if you want to have it corrected. A lot of plastic surgeons offer free consultations. You could always do that and learn more about the condition for now. Gynecomastia surgery is a little bit tricky and some people are better candidates for a quality outcome than others. Individuals with skin laxity are probably the hardest to treat in terms of getting quality consistent results. Subcutaneous fat can be reduced with Liposuction but Liposuction will not effectively remove true breast tissue. For that direct surgical excision is required. Individuals with significant skin laxity may need a chest lift. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: You need to have surgery i don't not believe that the non-surgical options work for gynecomastia, unless it is a very very mild case of gynecomastia and the person is only wanting a small change. don't take shortcuts. wait until you can afford a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this field and don't just find the least expensive dr you can find. you did not include photos but if you have a ton of fat in your breasts, you probably are moderately overweight as well. it will not solve your problem completely, but if you should lose weight as well. david berman md, frcsc
