I’m getting a breast augmentation in 3 weeks but Im also due for getting my wisdom teeth removed .. I was told that as long as I wait 3 weeks apart I should be fine . I was also told by another surgeon that I need to take antibiotics before and after the extraction . Is 3 weeks enough time apart ? Do I have to take antibiotics if I have the extraction after the augmentation ?

I do recommend antibiotics for dental procedures involving any bleeding during a one year period after breast augmentation surgery. I'm not aware of any connection of wisdom teeth removal and capsular contracture. I am not aware of a paper that outlines a definitive protocol, so each surgeon tends to have his/her own set of guidelines on when you can have extractions in relation to the timing of implants and whether to use prophylactic antibiotics (and for how long).
