When can I go on roller-coasters?

How soon after a breast augmentation can I go on intense, high-impact roller-coasters at 6 flags? Do I need to wait for the breasts to fully settle? I read can take several months.

That is really a question you need to ask your surgeon, but I would figure on about four weeks minimum.

Thank you for your inquiry. This is a common question. At our clinic we advise that patients wait 6 weeks for any strenuous activity or upper-body weight-bearing exercises and this includes roller-coasters. I recommend that Patients wear a supportive sports bra after 6 weeks during strenuous activity as this can provide additional comfort and support. Be sure to ask your Plastic surgeon for direction. Each surgeon has a different post-surgery protocol so you should speak to your surgeon. However, at our clinic, we advise our patients to avoid any strenuous activity or any activity that can cause the breast implants to be moved out of their position for 6 weeks after surgery.  Roller coasters would fall under this category

Thank you for the question.Your plastic surgeon should be  your resource for activity related questions after breast augmentation. Generally, I suggest waiting at least 4 to 6 weeks after breast augmnentation before  undertaking  activities such as roller coaster riding. You are correct and that it may take several months for breast implants a fully “settle”; you will not have to wait until then to enjoy the rides.Best wishes.

High-impact roller coasters are very dangerous for patients who have had recent breast augmentation.  You must specifically discussed this with your plastic surgeon and not follow online advice.
